Chapter 1 : Don''t Regret the Divorce

"Don''t be afraid, I''ll be gentle..."

In the dark hotel room, a man''s deep, husky voice broke the silence.

"Mm..." Tiffany responded nervously.

Alex Spencer''s kisses followed.

From her lips, to her cheeks, then to her earlobes, down her neck, and further...

Tiffany Windsor felt her whole body heat up from his kisses. She couldn''t help but wrap her arms around his neck and start responding...

The next morning, Tiffany woke up to find herself in Alex''s arms.

Alex was still asleep. She couldn''t help but lift her head to look at the man in front of her—her husband of one year.

The man had an exceptionally cold and handsome face.

His features were strikingly beautiful, with no flaws at all. His skin was fair, his eyes were closed, and his long eyelashes cast shadows like little fans. His nose was high and straight, and his lips were thin.

Looking at him, Tiffany couldn''t help but think about what had happened the night before.

She had gone to the bar to find a friend and accidentally saw Alex being drugged. She followed him to a room upstairs in the bar, and then they ended up in bed together.

This was the second time they had been intimate in their one-year marriage.

The last time was a month ago when she took advantage of Alex being drunk and sneaked into his room to sleep with him.

That night, she had forced herself on him, which made Alex despise her even more afterward. But this time was completely different; it was extremely pleasant.

She thought that from now on, her life with Alex would be sweet.

Tiffany couldn''t help but smile to herself.

She had loved Alex for ten whole years.

A year ago, she finally found the opportunity to marry him and become his wife.

Although he had never liked her since their marriage, she believed that one day Alex would fall in love with her.

Just then, a phone rang suddenly.

The man holding her tightly moved slightly, his brows furrowing.

Tiffany was startled, afraid of disturbing Alex''s rest. She immediately silenced the phone, then slipped out of his arms, got dressed, and left the room before answering the call.

The person on the other end said, "Madam, the old lady has passed away..."

...

Seven days later.

Mrs. Spencer was buried.

Tiffany fainted from crying.

When she woke up, it was already evening. As soon as she opened her eyes, she saw the man sitting by the bed.

Alex was actually keeping watch over her?

Tiffany''s heart leaped with joy. Just as she was about to speak, Alex handed her a document, "This is the divorce agreement. Take a look."

Tiffany was stunned, "You want a divorce?"

A trace of surprise flashed across the man''s face, "Wasn''t this agreed upon from the beginning?"

Tiffany was taken aback, then she remembered.

Back then, Mrs. Spencer saw that she liked Alex and insisted on fulfilling her wish. But Alex didn''t like her. To get him to agree, she proposed a deal.

They agreed that if the old lady passed away or if he found someone he liked, he could ask for a divorce at any time, and she wouldn''t object.

Tiffany''s heart sank to the bottom.

She never expected that he would bring it up just a week after the old lady''s passing.

Tiffany forced herself to hold back the pain, her voice trembling, "A week ago, that night, we..."

She wanted to bring up that night at the hotel.

That night, they were both so happy.

"Enough!"

The man''s voice was cold and impatient.

"Tiffany, you were the one who proposed the deal and insisted on marrying me, but it was only because you wanted The Spencer Family''s money! After the divorce, I can give you a large sum of money, enough for you to live comfortably for the rest of your life!"

"I told you a year ago, I wouldn''t like you, and I wouldn''t touch you. I warned you not to play any tricks, but you didn''t listen and shamelessly forced yourself on me. Don''t think you can use what happened last time to blackmail me!"

"Now that Grandma has passed away, and I have someone I truly love, I want a divorce. Don''t go back on your word!"

His words pierced Tiffany''s heart like a knife.

Tiffany felt numb with pain.

So, the happiness of that night was just an illusion!

So, in his eyes, she was a shameless woman!

So, it was because he had someone he liked!

"Fine, I''ll let you go!"

She said, trembling as she picked up the pen and signed her name at the bottom right corner of the document.

Ten years of love, one year of marriage, it was time to wake up from the dream.

It was time to give up.

The next day.

After getting the divorce certificate with Alex, Tiffany dragged her suitcase and left The Spencer Family villa, heading to the airport.

Meanwhile, in the president''s office of The Spencer Group.

"Any news?"

"Yes, Mr. Spencer. Through surveillance, we found out that the woman you were with at the hotel a week ago was her! But..."

"But what?" Alex frowned.

The assistant handed the photo to Alex, hesitating, "Take a look... We just found out she bought a ticket to leave the city! The flight is about to take off!"

Alex looked at the woman in the photo, his face changing dramatically, "Lock down the airport immediately, bring her back!"
